The Marine Drive Tourism Project is the single largest tourism investment project
initiated by the Government of Ghana since its independence. The 241 acre
prime beachfront tourism enclave project is envisaged to position Ghana as the
most sought after tourist destination and the destination of choice within the West African sub-region as well as provide job opportunities for many young people in Ghana within the hospitality and hospitality supporting industries.
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, owner of the project is desirous of
establishing a PPP Platform to deliver the proposed Marine Drive Project in
Osu, Accra.
The project shall comprise of Financial, Residential and Commercial Enclaves
together with Social elements including a new Boardwalk, Public Parks,
refurbishment of the existing Civic Square, a Museum, Entertainment, leisure and hospitality offerings.
The Broadgate management team has been invited in strategic partnership with
the Ghana Ministry of Tourism and other key stakeholders, and proposes to act as Master Developer, Project Promoter, and Development Manager undertaking Marketing and Phased Development of the Entire Project to include: Direct Development as Principal; Build to Suit; Joint Venture via Land Sale to approved and selected Asset Class Developers, subject to final Agreement and Board Approval from the MDP Board.
Broadgate (subject to MDP approval) proposes the first phase comprise:
• Arena – 12,500 seats to be operated by our International Multimedia Partner
• Two Hotels – Four Star and Boutique with each delivering 250 Keys
• Retail Mall – 35,000 m2 NLA
• Multiplex – 5,000 m2 NLA, to include IMAX; Mega screen and 4DX
• Conference Exhibition Centre
• Residential – 250 Apartment Units
